Lead with divine power for a restful day
By Olivia Thompson
When I have respect for God’s precepts and commands,
the Lord makes me dwell in a fertile land
along quiet streams of water, where my soul can find peace and rest.
He quenches my thirst with living water: I spiritually grow in him.
He restores my broken spirit: in faith I look up to him.
I live in the safety of his presence with rejoicing,
singing praises unto the God of my salvation. Lord, I extol you.
Finding my way back to you
By Olivia Thompson
Day after day my mind sometimes wanders
away from your teaching, but you seek me,
unworthy as I am and bring me back to your word.
I am your servant, your child born again of uncorrupted seed through Christ.
Cleanse me that I may serve you in truth and in spirit.
Your word is pure: refining my thoughts;
bringing me to know your truth.
Let my tongue speak of your righteousness…
In affliction, I have learnt to trust in your mercies.
Your merciful kindness has been my comfort.
It has helped me live through tough times;
And made me delight in your laws.
With my whole heart, I try to keep your commandments.
I am your servant, incline my heart to do what is right in your sight.
Let me be satisfied with the joy that is found in your presence:
True joy, uplifting joy, joy that endures all seasons.
And I will joyfully serve you. I will sing of your faithfulness;
Ever available to me day after day.
How can we see the beauty of God in our daily life?
The beauty of God is displayed all around us in creation: in nature, in godly character, and in the peace He gives us that goes beyond our human understanding.
We can see the beauty of God in our daily life by:
Having a pure heart: since God looks at the heart, it is vital that all truth we hold is in accordance with God's truth: as we trust in His mercy. May our heart be pure, free from deceit, deception or corruption. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8.
Having a humble spirit: Help us, Lord to examine our attitudes and if there be any behaviour that is contrary to your ways, rid us of it, that we may have a humble spirit. The sacrifices of God are a "broken spirit": a broken and a contrite heart, O God thou wilt not despise. Psalm 51:17
Speaking gentle words: A soft answer turns away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness. Proverbs 15: 1-2
Lord, let your Holy Spirit teach us to speak kind words to comfort in ways that bring knowledge of your commandments and precepts to others.

God has given us the freedom to choose. Every choice leads to a consequence good or bad. This notion of choice also applies to our health; where our spiritual life is connected to our physical life. According to the Bible, Christ has left His peace with us. In His own words He said “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world give, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:26. A true child of God has a choice: we can choose to not be troubled or afraid as a treatment for tension or stress. And take the spiritual treatment of coming to God through worship; worshiping God in spirit and in truth in our thoughts, our prayers, and our works. This heavenly-directed habit will definitely open the heart to discover the peace that Christ left with us, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He helps us discover godly approaches to good health and ways of maintaining it. The consequence of choosing God’s approach to a normal tension life is having Christ’s peace.
